UPDATE: 100+favs!! Thanks everyone! :D Be sure to check out my other non-Smash related work as well :D

Inspired by the reveal trailer of Pac-Man, shown off during E3. It has hard to believe that Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, and Pac-Man are all in the same game together. That is insane. I am sure that if I was born around the 80's this would be even more crazy to see once rival characters fighting alongside one another.

Yesterday was Nintendo's E3 2014 Press Conference and along with it came new announcements for a game that I have been waiting YEARS for, Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS. A lot of cool info was revealed including game modes, stages, and characters. We even got a release date that seems so far away. Last night, Nintendo also held a round table that was not filmed. So, I annoyingly had to keep checking a Twitter feed in order to see what was being revealed. I guess they showed off Pac-Man, which would have been an awesome reveal if several people had not seen it coming and they would have shown the reveal trailer during their conference instead at a meeting that could not be filmed!! But, besides that this game is looking better with each day! So excited!

A Few Thoughts About the Nintendo Conference Itself

(Note: Long read, I highlighted the titles of the games that I talk about)

Well, like every year, I overhyped the heck out of this conference. I had to wait all day to go home and watch it and it was good, but not what I was expecting. The upcoming games for the Wii U seem alright. I mean nothing seems to be coming out for 2014 besides Smash Bros. That is pretty bad since the Wii U needs the sales and once again they are holding out for the good titles.

Regarding all of the Smash News, the inclusion of Miis, and Palutena was interesting, but not as epic as the Mega Man reveal of E3 2013. I am happy to see that the 3DS version will be released in October, but it still seems so far away. I am not sure how to feel about the addition of amiibo figures.
Yoshi's Wooly World looks fun, but not something I would want to spend full price for.

Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker was an odd surprise, but not something I think I will be spending money on.

The New Zelda looked beautiful, might check it out, but I suck at Zelda, so I will see. But it is open world and that is AMAZING. Hyrule Warriors is looking good, and I am wondering what other characters will make an appearance. I am horrible at Dynasty Warriors, so I am not sure if I will even pick this game up.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has only been teased in short doses of gameplay, I don't see a reason to get it while I still have plenty to do in Pokemon X.

Bayonetta 2 looks difficult, a great surprise that it will be packaged with the first Bayonetta.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse was also a surprise. I never thought that they would make a sequel to Canvas Curse. That game destroyed my bottom DS screen, so I am not so sure if I want to spend money to destroy my Wii U Gamepad Screen.

Xenoblade Chronicles X looks like a lot of fun. It is not my style of gameplay at all, but I am really interested in it. I watched my roommate play Xenoblade Chronicles, and this is something I really want to try out.

Mario Maker should be something that I should be really excited for, but my reaction to it was pretty meh. If it is reasonable in price, I might try it out.

Splatoon looks fun, but there does not seem to be much variety. I am not sure as to what is up with the whole concept of "squid paintball," but it seems like a fun idea. If this is just an early build and there is more to see, I could see this being fun to play with friends.

Mario Party 10 looks fun, but I am mad that they are using the same gameplay style as 9 with all of the players moving on the board at the same time. Go back to how it used to be!!

Shigeru Miyamoto's new Project Giant Robot and Project Guard do not really interest me either. Giant Robot looks slow and Guard needs some variety. I am sure that these are probably really early builds, but I am curious as to what they might just evolve into. Also, I am glad that Star Fox is not dead, but I wished we could have at least seen a trailer or something.

I heard that today they will be revealing a mysterious 3DS title at another roundtable. No idea what that could be. Regardless, not a bad year for Nintendo, but 2015 should probably get here soon so I can try out some of these games. Also, I think every Nintendo Conference from now on needs Robot Chicken in it. Those bits were quite good. :D
